I just watched Tully. It was an interesting parenting perspective. I have a hard time with movies like this, who put husbands in a box. husbands that don’t help with the kids, they don’t understand what it is like being a mom, husbands don’t do this /dont do that ect. Its hard for me to watch. Mostly because I chose a partner in life, that I knew was going to be the best dad. He was going to help me every step of the way. Every time Stella woke up as an infant – he changed her diaper and I nursed for 2 hours. He was awake helping. Not only to mention I had an emergency c-section, and I could barely walk. He not only was running his own business, taking care of me, Stella, and everything else. So I guess the point of my rant is – there ARE good dads/husbands out there. And it doesn’t take a tragic accident for husbands to love their wives and children. I know that not all women have a husband like mine. But they DO exist. If you have seen the movie, or not – I do think its worth it.
PARENTING IS HARD. PARENTING IS WEIRD. PARENTING IS FUN. PARENTING IS REWARDING. PARENTING WITH A GOOD PARTNER IS WONDERFUL!
Sorry late night rant.
Until next time,
